Dr. Brigham Nicoll is dual boarded in child and adolescent and adult psychiatry. He is a native Arizonan with a passion for helping people of all ages and backgrounds with mental health challenges. His goal is to treat each patient according to his or her unique situation and provide treatment options that align with their values.
Dr. Brigham Nicoll is dual boarded in child and adolescent and adult psychiatry. He is a native Arizonan with a passion for helping people of all ages and backgrounds with mental health challenges. His goal is to treat each patient according to his or her unique situation and provide treatment options that align with their values.
Dr Nicoll is a local graduate from Mountain View High School in 2005. After completing his undergraduate degrees from Mesa Community College and Arizona State University he was accepted to medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. In 2016 he was awarded with his MD and then started residency in general psychiatry at Creighton University School of Medicine and Valleywise Health Medical Center. In order to expand his ability to serve the community he entered a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, graduating in 2021. Additionally, he completed a fellowship with the Integrated Psychiatry Institute in 2021. Dr Nicoll is board certified in general psychiatry (2020) and child and adolescent psychiatry (2021) through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr Nicoll is also involved with the wilderness therapy program, Anasazi Foundation, and serves as their medical director.
Dr Nicoll also has a long-time love of working with people with physical, intellectual or developmental differences. He and his wife started a non-profit organization in 2009 called Love, your Friend which provides social opportunities to people with physical, intellectual or developmental differences. He is fluent in Spanish which he learned while serving a 2-year proselytizing mission in Argentina. He enjoys using this skill to work with the wonderful Spanish speakers of Arizona. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and children. He enjoys holding on to his childhood by keeping up with Star Wars but he also has more mature hobbies such as reading, running, and backpacking.

Dr. Joshua Nead, DO, is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist through the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. He chose to attend AT Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona due to its focus on whole-body health, emphasizing the connection between body, mind, and spirit. After completing medical school, Dr. Nead underwent intensive training during a rigorous General Psychiatry Residency at Creighton University School of Medicine and Valleywise Health Medical Center. He further specialized as one of only six Fellows in Arizona to be accepted into the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the same institutions.

To complement his psychiatric training, Dr. Nead completed the Integrative Psychiatry Institute Fellowship, enabling him to incorporate evidence-based complementary and alternative medicine treatments, as well as nutritional psychiatry, into his practice. His mission is to create a therapeutic space where patients feel supported on their journey toward optimal mental health.
Dr. Nead’s unique perspective, strong work ethic, and creativity stem from his diverse life experiences. Growing up, he had the opportunity to study dance at his mother’s studio, where he developed an appreciation for artistic expression and cultural diversity. His dance training took him across the globe, including a performance for King Tāufaʻahau Tupou IV of Tonga. Dr. Nead also served a mission in British Columbia, Canada, further enriching his worldview.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Nead has a deep personal connection to foster care and adoption, having fostered and adopted children himself. This, combined with his experience creating wellness programs for children, has provided him with a profound understanding of how factors such as ethnic background, cultural diversity, and socioeconomic status influence mental health.
